System Overview:
Neximatic seamlessly connects to medical equipment using custom cables designed specifically for each device. When the Neximatic device receives vital sign data, it sends the information securely to the Neximatic cloud servers. The data is then sent every minute (configurable interval) to your EMR system, using our standard messaging or a custom interface.
Neximatic Cloud-EMR integration:
Every minute, Neximatic devices send a consolidated data message to your EMR, containing all the information collected during that time. The message can be transmitted using our standard messaging format or a customized interface. If there’s a delay or issue with sending data, messages are queued, ensuring that no vital sign information is lost.
Neximatic Networking:
Neximatic devices require an internet connection to communicate with the Neximatic cloud servers. They can connect via either a wired or Wi-Fi network, and do not require additional local servers. The device communicates directly with the cloud server, ensuring that data is securely transmitted. Communication is fully encrypted and contains no Protected Health Information (PHI), ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
Neximatic-Equipment Connections:
The Neximatic device supports connections to equipment using both network and serial protocols. Our latest devices can natively connect to one network-based device and up to four serial-based devices. If a particular piece of equipment outputs data, Neximatic can either support it out of the box or be configured to do so. Importantly, no PHI is read from or stored on the Neximatic device, ensuring patient privacy is always maintained.
